Upsell Blocker (UB) is a browser extension add-on designed to save you money, help you avoid acquiring possessions you may not need, and lessen the stress of too many options when shopping. UB does this by greatly diminishing the amount of upselling you normally see at Amazon.com.
When you visit Amazon you normally see banner ads and rows upon rows upon rows of upsell content urging you to explore deals, view related products, see gift ideas, and so on. All this plays on human psychology to get you to buy more, spend more, and accumulate more things you may not need and that may harm your monthly shopping budget.
Upsell Blocker attempts to remove the massive amount of upsell content at Amazon.com and replace it with a beautiful image photo (public domain or free to use images) of something related to the Amazon rainforest, or rainforests in general. A photo of the rainforest, or an animal or bird that lives in the rainforest. If a photo is not acquired, a random minimalist quotation is displayed on the main Amazon page in place of the upsell content. In so doing, you become less distracted, less tempted to buy more. You can just focus on shopping for the item you came to the store to purchase.
