Change Notes 1.32
Fix: UPIN and DL autofilling updates
Been using FFL Boss for nearly 2 years and have been happy with the software and the NICS Autofill extension was working great until recently. We have not been able to launch or use the Assisted LEEP function to autofill the NICS data. It was working great up until a a few weeks when it was noticed on all three shop computers that the Autofill was not working. This was one of the selling points of the software for us and the that feature is no longer working.
All three computers are using Chrome and have the extension enabled, however, nothing happens when the LEEP is launched and we have to manually fill out the NICS form. This impacts our turn time on transferring firearms to customers and has slowed us down when multiple transfers are going on. I don't know if it's Chrome, the extension, or the software but it's been frustrating the couple of weeks of not having the autofill feature.
UPDATE 08/2021 - We started our firearms business as FFL Boss customers back in 2019. Loved the product, as it streamlined background checks, 4473s, bound book and inventory management. Great flow, great interface, well thought out. The 6.0 update brought about a number of challenges for us as users. My understanding is that, due to ATF requirement changes, FFL Boss was forced to release that major update sooner than they expected. This resulted in a few situations that required workarounds, thus making our operation less efficient for a period of time. Fast forward to today - another FFL one town over from us has been using FFL Boss ever since I recommended it back in 2019, and he reports that most if not all of the 6.0 update issues have been addressed. Perhaps we will re-evaluate FFL Boss in the near future and return as a customer.
ORIGINAL: My first ~6 months as an FFL has included the use of FFL Boss. Other than a few minor issues, I have nothing but great things to say about it. Not all FFL's are verified correctly when an acquisition is added. I have one (Palmetto State Armory) that never does. Apparently, there are two different places that FFL info can be pulled from. Would be great if that was fixed. Other than that, this saves me a ton of time and effort.
