It does help you avoid the site, but I can't stand the cat gifs. 70% aren't even cats being 'cute' - they're cats being humiliated by their owners. Cellophane over the catflap, cat struggling to remove something attached to it for 'laughs', cat coaxed into trying to jumping further than it can manage and falling, kitten cowering in terror before something off-screen...you get the gist. Makes you dislike humanity even more than the Mail, which kind of defeats the object.

It doesn't work as expected. I'm still plagued with unwanted Daily Mail article notifications and it stops me connecting to the website when I choose to do so.
