Extension summary

Citations are used to link parts of the article to sources, situated in the "References" section, at the bottom of the page. Citations contribute to legitimation of presented data, but they can be annoying when the use of copy/paste is required.

User reviews

Of the few extensions I tried (Remove Citations, Smart Wikipedia Citation Remover), only this one works as of today, but it lacks an option to temporarily disable it, unlike the other 2 addons. Hope the developer would add this feature. Edit: The extension "Wikipedia NoRefs" has the toggle that I want.
