Flow Puzzle: Connect the lines

Flow Puzzle is a connect-the-dots pipe puzzle that fixes the thing everyone hates about connect-the-dots pipe puzzles.

Drag from a glowing node to its matching pair to lay a pipe between them. Pipes cannot cross. That is the whole rule.

What makes it a puzzle is the interference. The short route for one pipe runs straight through where another one has to go, so somebody has to give way, and working out who is the game.

NO HUNTING FOR THE LAST EMPTY SQUARE

Most games in this genre also demand you fill every cell. So you join all the pairs, find one square still empty, and go back to unpick finished pipes and pad them with pointless detours until the gap is gone. That is not solving. It is upholstery.

Flow Puzzle does not ask you to do that, because it does not have to. Every board is built so there is exactly ONE way to connect its pairs at all — and that one way happens to fill the grid. Join the pairs and the board completes itself.

You are never padding. Every turn a pipe makes is forced.

ONE ANSWER, AND WE CHECKED

All 210 boards were verified by an exhaustive solver and kept only if they had a single answer. Nothing was generated and shipped unverified. That is what makes the perfect badge worth chasing: solving a level in one drag per pipe, with no hints, means you found THE answer.

BUILT TO BE READABLE

• Every pair has its own shape as well as its own colour. On the big boards there are sixteen pipes at once, and colour alone is not enough — for a colour-blind player it is not enough at all. Circle, square, diamond, triangle, cross, and eleven more. You can play this game in greyscale.
• A strip under the board shows which pairs you have left, so you never have to hunt the board for the one you missed.
• Dark board, bright pipes, nothing flashing.

210 LEVELS, SEVEN PACKS

Ember 5x5, Copper 6x6, Signal 7x7, Lattice 8x8, Cascade 9x9, then two 10x10 packs — Aurora spacious, Zenith crowded. Thirty levels each, growing from three pipes to sixteen. Later packs open as you work through the earlier ones, and you never need to finish a pack to move on, so one level you cannot crack will never wall off the rest.

No timer. No lives. No way to lose. Put it down mid-pipe and it will be exactly where you left it.
