Ads, Subscription, Reading Limit..? What that!? Now, I never have to worry about these as long as I have "Free TheHindu". The "block element" tool is invaluable... unlike other Ad blockers, here no need to disable this extension for using either any sections of The Hindu or the other websites. No bugs yet, works fine for free!!
Overall, awesome work and highly recommended for News junkies & civil services aspirants. Hope it remains toll-free. I don't know how I lived without it...never going back!

Is Free TheHindu Safe?
Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.
Free TheHindu requires very minimum permissions.
