TRAILDPS TRACKER

TRAILDPS TRACKER is the mobile field application associated with TRAIL DPS PLACE.

It allows authorized teams to be assigned to an event via TRAIL DPS PLACE and then activate GPS tracking while on assignment. The application then transmits the mobile device's location to Race Control Center (RCC) to facilitate operational coordination among rescue, security, course opening, sweep, management, and organizational teams.

The application is designed for outdoor emergency response plans, trail races, sporting events, field events, and organizations requiring operational visibility of deployed teams.

Main features:

- Activation of a device via QR code or SMS link;

- Assignment of the device to an event and an operational role;

- Voluntary start and stop of GPS tracking;

- Transmission of the location to RCC during the mission;

- Background operation when GPS tracking is active;

- Mobile Race Feed for non-urgent operational messages;

- Display of role, team, and tracking status;

- Ability to deactivate tracking at any time with "Mission Complete / Deactivate Tracking".

TRAILDPS TRACKER is not a consumer application. It is intended for authorized users and field teams pre-registered by an organizer with TRAIL DPS PLACE.

GPS tracking is not continuously active. No position is transmitted until an event is activated and the user has started GPS tracking. When tracking is active, the application can continue to transmit the position in the background or on the lock screen so that the race control center maintains a reliable view of the teams deployed in the field.

The user retains control of the tracking: they can stop it from the application without removing their connection to the event.

TRAILDPS TRACKER complements TRAIL DPS PLACE, a local post for preparing and monitoring events LIVE, by providing mobile position updates and an operational field channel.
