Kizzo Enfant

Kizzo Kids installs on the child's phone. It is set up and controlled via the Kizzo Parent app, which the parent must download separately.

IMPORTANT: This app does not work on its own. It requires a Kizzo account created by a parent through the Kizzo Parent app. Without pairing, no features are accessible.

HOW IT WORKS

The parent creates their child's profile on their own phone, sets the allowed screen time and applicable rules, and then displays a pairing code. The child scans it with Kizzo Kids, and the two devices are connected. Any changes made by the parent are then applied within seconds.

SCREEN TIME THAT IS EARNED

Kizzo transforms screen time into a goal rather than a restriction. At intervals set by the parent, the child is offered a quiz: math, French, history/geography, science, English. The questions are tailored to the child's grade level, from first grade to twelfth grade.

Each successful quiz unlocks extra time. The child progresses at their own pace, earns badges, and tracks their results. The parent chooses the subjects, the quiz frequency, and the number of questions.

Nothing is hidden: the child knows what is being measured and why.

WHAT THE PARENT CONTROLS

- Daily screen time, adjustable daily
- Nighttime blocking, with bedtimes and wake-up times
- Allowed apps, apps deducted from the quota, or blocked
- Time limits per app
- Filtering of inappropriate web content
- Immediate remote device locking
- Adding extra screen time on an ad-hoc basis

Phone, contacts, and emergency calls remain accessible at all times, regardless of the remaining quota.

PERMISSIONS REQUESTED

Kizzo Kids requires several Android permissions to enforce the rules set by the parent. Each permission is requested during setup, with an explanation.

- Accessibility service: detects the foreground app to apply blocking rules and quota limits. Kizzo does not read any content displayed on the screen, collect any input, or save any text.

- Access to usage data: measures the time spent in each app to count towards the quota.

- Display over other apps: Show the lock screen when the time limit is reached or a restricted app is open.

- Device administrator: Prevent the child from uninstalling Kizzo to bypass the rules. Disabling this requires the parent's PIN.

- Camera: Only used to scan the pairing code during initial setup.

- Auto-start and battery optimization exclusion: Ensure supervision remains active.

PRIVACY

Kizzo is designed for families. No ads, no in-app purchases for the child app, and no data resale.

The information collected is limited to what is necessary for the service to function: usage time per app, quiz results, and device status. This information is only visible to the parent who owns the account.
