KapFind

The network always gets overloaded at the worst possible time: 40,000 people in a field, and not a single message gets sent. KapFind doesn't use that.

Your phone communicates directly with those in your group, via Bluetooth. A location, a message, a direction—everything jumps from one device to another, without going through any servers.

■ ONE CODE, AND THAT'S ALL
You create a group, you get six letters, you say them out loud. No one signs up, no one gives their email address. The code is also the encryption key: without it, the data packets won't open.

■ A NEEDLE, NOT A MAP
Touch a name and the needle points to that person. The distance updates as you walk. No map to decipher at 2 a.m.: just a direction and a number of meters.

■ EVERYONE DECIDES
You share your location when you want, you turn it off when you want. When turned off, your location disappears
from other people's screens immediately.

■ FROM NEAR TO NEAR
Two people too far apart to see each other directly can still find each other: the
phones between them relay the data, without ever being able to read what they are carrying. Each person only
carries traffic in turn, and never below 25% battery.

■ WHAT WE DON'T DO
No account. No server. No ads. No tracker. Nothing you do in
KapFind leaves the phones in your group — there's nowhere to send it.

■ WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
KapFind is used with the screen on: that's the price of working without a network connection. Expect a range of 30 to
80 meters per hop, more in open terrain.
