CardEmberStudy is a flashcard app built around spaced repetition. Every card lives in one of six Leitner boxes. Recall it cleanly and it climbs a box, returning days later instead of minutes later. Miss it and it drops back to the start and comes round again in the same session. Nothing to configure, no algorithm to tune — you grade honestly and the intervals take care of themselves.

EIGHT DECKS, READY ON FIRST LAUNCH
No empty state and no "add your own cards" homework before you can start. 112 cards ship inside the app across eight subjects:

A SESSION THAT RESPECTS YOUR TIME
Tap the card to flip it, then grade yourself: Again, Hard, Good or Easy. Each button shows exactly when that card would return, so you always know what you are choosing. Prefer gestures? Swipe left to repeat a card, swipe right to keep it moving. Sessions run 10, 20, 30 or 40 cards — your choice.

SEE THE LADDER, NOT JUST A NUMBER
The Progress tab shows where every card actually sits: a Leitner spread across all six boxes, cards graded per day for the last week, your recall accuracy as a trend line, and mastery broken down deck by deck. The mastery ring on the home screen fills against a daily goal you set yourself.

BUILT FOR THE COMMUTE
Completely offline. Every deck is bundled inside the app and every calculation runs on your phone, so it works in aeroplane mode, in a tunnel, and on a plane. No account, no sign-in, no sync, no network requests of any kind.

QUIET BY DESIGN
No advertising. Nothing to purchase. No notifications and no reminders nagging you at dinner. No analytics or tracking SDKs are compiled into the app — what you study is nobody's business but yours.

DETAILS THAT MATTER
- Reverse prompts: show the answer first and recall the prompt. Brutal on the language deck, and the fastest way to make vocabulary productive rather than passive.
- Hints on cards that have them, switchable off when you want the harder version.
- A card graded Again returns later in the same session, at most twice, so a single stubborn card can never trap you in a loop.
- Ten milestones tied to your real counters — reviews, retired cards, streaks, sessions, accuracy and deck coverage. No parallel scoring system to game.
- Streak tracking that counts calendar days on which you finished a session, with your best streak kept separately.
