Extension summary
ManyAngles suggest news articles covering different aspects of the story you are currently reading. We keep our servers abreast with latest and variety of news. Our extension helps you keep track of your coverage on the story too as it stores in your browser your history on the topic (temporarily).
How it works? As soon as you click on our icon or if the article you are reading is on a news website, then our extension would query the server with it and the server would dig different aspects of that story and present it to you. In-case, we are not able to find a match for your current story, we suggest other stories from the same website for your perusal.
Why icon changes color? Extension's icon changes to yellow color when it has matches, grey when there is nothing new to share and blue when we suggest other stories from the same website.
Note: This is a research project. ManyAngles transmits a portion of your browsing history — sites matching a list of known news sites — to us. We do not ask for any personally identifiable information and cannot link your history back to you, only to your extension.
After you install the extension, you'll be asked to complete a brief (4 minute) survey. This helps us with our research. You may stop participation at any time by uninstalling the extension.
If you have questions, you can email us at [email protected].
