fixed.link URL Management - Shortener and QR codes

Shorten the page you are on, get a QR code, and drop short links straight into an email or a post. Links stay editable after you send them, so a moved landing page does not become a dead link.

Features & Capabilities

Fixed.link turns the page you are on into a short link, on your own domain, in one click.

WHAT IT DOES

Shorten pages automatically, create QR codes, share and track clicks and more without changing a tab. Click the toolbar button or press Alt+Shift+L. Pick which of your domains it goes on. Copy it, share it, or show the QR code and download it as an SVG.

Shorten as you write. Paste a long URL into Gmail, Outlook, X or LinkedIn and a small button appears beside it. Click, and the URL you pasted becomes the short one, in place. Nothing is rewritten unless you ask, unless you turn that on yourself.

Shorten a link on the page. Right click any link and shorten that instead of the page you are on.

See how they are doing. The popup lists your recent links with their click counts, and searches them.

WHY THE LINKS ARE WORTH MAKING

A short link you have already sent stays editable. The campaign ships, the landing page moves, and the link in the email still works because you repointed it. That is the reason to use one at all, and it is what a raw URL cannot do.

WHAT YOU NEED

A FixedLink account on a plan that includes API access. The extension signs you in the normal way and asks your approval once. It never asks for a password and never stores one.

PRIVACY

The extension talks to your FixedLink account and nothing else. No analytics, no telemetry, no third party. It reads the address of the tab you are on when you ask it to, and looks at text you paste into a compose box only to see whether it is a URL. Your access token is kept on your machine and is never handed to a web page.
