FilterTube

Mr. Varshney, thank for a well-designed extension because it does exactly what it claims. Configuration was self-intuitive. FilterTube helped me block few 'toxic' podcasters who behave as if they are the masters of reality.

Thank you for creating the feature to load data from BlockTube. I really appreciate it as someone who has used BlockTube a lot. However, while using it, I noticed some inconveniences and missing features that I would like to explain clearly. Right now, BlockTube has a “Comment content” filtering feature, and FilterTube also supports keyword and channel filtering. But there is no filtering for the video description section on YouTube. For example, when you click on a video (that is not filtered by title or channel), you can see the description, and inside it there are texts and hashtags (#keywords). Currently, even if those contain words that I want to filter, they are not filtered at all. What I want is a system where the video description (including normal text and hashtags) is treated the same as keyword filtering. If any filtered keyword appears in the description, the video should be blocked automatically. Also, when exporting and importing BlockTube data, only “keyword” and “channel” seem to be supported right now. But BlockTube also has other features like “Comment content” filtering and additional settings. I would like all of these settings to be imported as well, not just keywords and channels. To summarize my request more clearly: Add filtering for YouTube video descriptions (including #hashtags and all text inside the description) If a filtered keyword appears in the description, the entire video should be blocked Support importing/exporting all BlockTube features, including Comment content and other settings, not just keywords and channels Make FilterTube support as many BlockTube features as possible so users can fully migrate and use everything As a long-time BlockTube user, I find your extension very useful already. I believe that if these features are added and continuously improved, this extension can become even more complete and successful. Thank you for your work and effort. EDIT: I am an Android smartphone user who uses Firefox and installs extensions such as BlockTube and FilterTube directly on the mobile environment. I hope this extension can function smoothly on Android mobile devices while also maintaining full compatibility and stable performance on PC environments.
