2023-07-31 Firefox user 17151922 I've been literally a lifetime using Linux looking for an alternative to IDM, I went through Jdownloader2, FDM, XDM and others that I don't even remember their name and never worked, FDM for example didn't work with Wayland but with Xorg, and none really grabbed the downloads as File Centipede does, many times I had to click the download link and then paste it to the download manager and it was useless, because it just downloaded the HTML of the page itself. But so far I can say that I finally found an alternative not only similar, but a thousand times superior in functionality. IDM can go to hell for not supporting Linux and having 0 intentions to do so, thanks a lot to the devs, their program needs a lot more love, I find it super weird that there is absolutely nobody recommending it, it seems like a niche program that only a lucky group can take advantage of, and I say that as a good thing.
