2025-01-07	Ma*****	This app has huge potential, but hard to use for beginners atm: 1) The translations are too basic e.g. "ostin" translates as "buy", not "bought", or "I bought". As a result, I don't trust it for learning and the sentences often make no sense after translating. 2) Floating words are a messy jumble. Maybe it'd work better if the words were replaced inline when you tap them? 3) Very fiddly to use on a phone e.g. skipping sentences back/forwards, the popup dialog gets in the way of things etc

Amazing way to learn Finnish while watching TV, with words in subtitles highlighted according to your level, the ability to save words, mark as learned, etc. Particularly cool that you can cast to your TV while viewing the subtitles on your phone as well.

2024-02-02	Co*****	An excellent app for learning Finnish at all levels, I have been extremely impressed with everything so far, of course there are areas that might be improved. It is also nice to be able to use the app on a normal laptop, as the size is bigger. When using on a laptop, I use Webxicon for the dictionary, as the one the app uses has sometimes quite poor translations.

But built-in dictionary is terrible even for English: words are translated out of context one by one and in nominative case and I see a lot of missed words for series like Ivalo, and a lot of wrong translations for such simple texts as in Pipsa Possu. Google tanslate not helpfull either as it tries to translate just one word and in nominative while most of the meaning is hidden in the case.

Is my daily go to app. Some suggestions; - Integrating some kind of space-repition system (e.g anki/memrise). I see the spaced repitation tab but having something like a tab where you can get a deck of cards of words that you select as "learn now". - Ability to export Vocabulary list - translation of puhelieki sanat isn't very good yet.
