The free version includes ads and updates the map approximately once per minute while the app is open.

Lightning Radar Pro removes ads and provides near-real-time lightning monitoring while the app is open. Monthly and annual subscriptions are available through Google Play.

BACKGROUND OPERATION

The lightning watch can receive server alerts and uses an approximately 15-minute fallback check. Android may delay background work or notifications to save battery.

IMPORTANT

Lightning observations and notifications may be delayed, incomplete, or temporarily unavailable. Lightning Radar is not an official warning service and must not be used as the only source of safety information. Follow official weather warnings and seek shelter whenever thunder is heard.
