It provides information about the sound level, noise level, sound average, and normalized sound value. Users can also change the sound capturing API. It can be operated in different modes- a separate window, a new tab, or toolbar popup for the user's convenience.

How is it that when I play a song and increase the volume, the app does not show any change to dB? Doesn't matter if I increase the volume with the speaker dial, or the windows system volume, the app reports no change to noise levels. The app picks up the ambient noise of my typing and humming, so it clearly hears *something*. Just not what I'm trying to measure.

Does not react to any sounds. Starts at 30 decibel, then climbs to 40.13 decibel, where it stays no matter what sounds I expose it to.
