Cependant, vous pouvez toujours lire sur votre PC ou Mac en chargeant son successeur, Thorium Reader, disponible sur l'appstore Microsoft et en téléchargement sur thorium.edrlab.org. Sur mobile, les développeurs du projet Readium mettent à disposition de tous un kit de développement libre et gratuit, sur lequel plus de 60 applications on été développées.
