Extension summary

If you are as annoyed by me that when you're looking for new audiobooks you see pages and pages of "Virtual Voice" narrations, then this is the add-on for you. When you're browsing audible.com this add-on looks through the search results and removes the ones which are "narrated" by a "Virtual Voice". This may result in a blank page of search results if the entire page was "narrated" by "Virtual Voice" titles. Just go on to the next page and see one or two actual audiobooks amongst the growing virtual horde.

User reviews

I'm so thrilled with the DevirtualizeAudible extension. I didn't know it existed until I was complaining on Reddit's Audible section and someone mentioned this. It works great and removes books that have virtual voice as the narrator. To anyone that's ever listened to a book narrated that way, it works okay some of the time but every now and then the lack of emotion at really emotional moments is just really jarring. Recently I saw a book listed with the narrator as a female name, digitized voice, like this 'Jennifer, digitized voice". So I really hope if people are trying to push the fake narrators that the people that wrote this extension will be able to combat their robotic narrations whatever they call them. Thanks folks, to whoever gave us this extension so I don't have to pay as much attention to the names of narrators and can concentrate on the write up of the story. If there is a place to donate to the authors of this, I wish they'd let me know.
