Kijiji Reposter

Does not work properly, since it changed to being no longuer free it is always messing and reposting the wrong ads.

Mar 4, 2024: It's now pretty useless to use. Often it fails saying the ad title is too long yet I posted just like that before, so it couldn't be too long. If you notice in your email notifications after an ad was renewed you may see that some ad titles have spaces added by this extension even though your Kijiji page seems to display them fine. To check refresh your My Ads page and click Edit and look at the title for added spaces. Usually there are 2 extra when it occurs. I think that's the problem. If your ad is near the maximum length Kijiji allows, a few extra spaces added by this extension will put it over the character limit so it fails. Hopefully this will get fixed. Of course I've shortened some ads, sometimes they are only 60% of the maximum yet they still fail. And it's still renewing the wrong ads sometimes. This started a little while ago as I reported it Feb 26. And still you can't renew a Wanted ad. Pretty pointless. Not sure who would pay for something that doesn't even work in a free context. Feb 26, 2024 For a few days when you repost an ad another ad gets reposted. Usually an ad on page 1 which is totally useless. So now the app is pointless. You'd get lots of subscribers if the extension actually worked properly. Early Feb 2024: Many times it fails to repost. For me its about 2/3 of the time. The problem is probably because Kijiji is getting more strict when people repost right after deleting their ad. So all you need to do is add a minute or so to the reposting time. We should be able to configure that ourselves. I'd opt for several minutes just to not look like I'm a machine! You always want to look human to Kijiji. Another problem is that it sometimes adds spaces in the title. Or just uses the first word or first few words of the title. This is helped by not maximizing the available title length. Just trim it by a few characters and this should resolve the problem. If you run Wanted ads you can't repost them with this extensions. Hopefully this will be addressed. There's no way of even contacting the owner of this app which sure doesn't inspire any confidence in giving them your credit card number. Not sure what they were thinking when they decided to hide from their customers. How about a forum? Would that be too much to ask? Another problem is Kijiji can't deal well with quotation marks: This is a Kijiji issue, not the extension. This is an excellent idea but it just needs further work to iron out the bugs.
