November to January is the flowering season for chanterelles.
The fruiting season lasts till the month of June.
The fruit is a combination, that is, a group of many small fruits.
The tree does not tolerate cold climates and hot summers, but it can grow well in areas with hot-humid climates and moderate rainfall.
Planting can be done on any type of soil, but grows well in deep and well drained soils.
Black clay soils bear fruit late and low.

As the name suggests, they are juicy, fibrous and have a rough taste.

These grains do not last long after ripening.
The size of the fruit, the taste, the smell, the type of skin, the thorns and its density also determine the type of locust.
Rudrakshi is a small fruit bearing and low thorny variety found in Tamil Nadu. Sri Lanka has a variety of medium quality and non-seasonal fruit bearing varieties.
Ran locust, Badhar and Vilayati locust belong to the same family of locusts.
They have more or less the same properties as chanterelles.
We also had some cultivation of wilayati or neer fennel or potato fennel.

Planting Technology -
Fenugreek seedlings are formed from seeds.
The seeds are called 'Athalya'.
The cuttings can be tied in a knotted manner.
In the same way, cuttings are made from mango stalks, just as cuttings are made from coconuts made from chanterelles. This is called 'epicotyl grafting'.
The survival rate of chanterelles in Konkan is around 50 to 90 percent.
April and May are the best seasons for grafting.

Choose a good variety of Kapa Fanas.
From 5th year onwards give 1 kg urea, 1.5 kg single super phosphate and 500 g murate of potash to each plant.
Apply the above amount of fertilizers according to the age of the first five years.
Fertilizer should be given as per soil test report.
Seedlings start germinating after 7-8 years, while grafting starts from 3rd year. Generally, a full grown 15-year-old chanterelles can produce about 30 to 50 or a maximum of 250 fruits per year, giving a yield of 40 to 50 tons per hectare. .
There is not much chance of diseases and insects on the chanterelle.
In some places trunk rot and fruit rot disease are found in Assam.
Outbreaks appear to be exacerbated during this time.
