Beschrijving (plak in het tweede veld):

FactRadar is a smart browser extension that automatically checks the reliability of everything you read online.

A floating button appears on every website. One click gives you an instant trust score from 0–100, with clickable sources to verify yourself.

What FactRadar does: 🔍 Fact-check — Analyses webpages and articles via AI and independent sources. 🛡️ Phishing detection — Recognises suspicious websites and emails at three threat levels. Danger triggers a red warning banner. 📧 Gmail protection — Automatically checks every email for phishing, including sender verification. 🖼️ Deepfake detection — Analyses images for manipulation. 😄 Satire recognition — Identifies satirical websites like The Onion so you don't mistake satire for news. 🎓 Scientific sources — Recognises academic and peer-reviewed websites like nature.com. 🌿 Lifestyle content — Flags health, sport and diet sites with a recommendation to verify medical advice. 📚 Sources — Every check comes with clickable sources: deeper reading for high scores, rebuttals for low scores.

FactRadar never sends personal data. Only the text of the page is analysed via a secured server.

Is FactRadar Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

FactRadar requires some sensitive permissions that could impact your browser and data security. Exercise caution before installing.

Risk likelihood
Risk likelihood measures the probability that a Firefox add-on may turn malicious. This is determined by the publisher and the Firefox add-on reputation on Firefox Add-ons Store, the amount of time the Firefox add-on has been around, and other signals about the Firefox add-on. Our algorithms are not perfect, and are subject to change as we discover new ways to detect malicious extensions. We recommend that you always exercise caution when installing a Firefox add-on.

FactRadar is recently added, and hasn't been around long enough for us to gather enough data to accurately assess its risk level.
