Tool4Gender

TOOL4GENDER is the European project, developed within the Erasmus + framework and co-financed with European funds, whose main objective is to prevent gender violence in the school environment.
Through this app, it is about acting against possible situations of gender violence at a very early stage (schoolchildren between 8 and 16 years old) before its perpetration, it also serves as a tool for training in the field of prevention of gender violence and the improvement of the capacities of professionals, as well as of families.
The training contents are aimed at self-detection of sexist behaviors and values, which implies the development of adequate affective maturity to reduce the future probability of GBV perpetration and build healthy relationships with others.
Through a few simple questions, it tries to lead the app users to reflect on the relationships between schoolchildren, the empowerment of girls and a greater knowledge based on the evidence of the patterns observed before the perpetration of gender violence. In addition, it is a tool for better training in education and gender approaches and capacity development that will allow new opportunities to promote gender equality.
This application is designed for different user profiles. On the one hand, the application can be used by adults (teachers, counselors, psychologists and school councils), to detect GBV situations and to train education professionals (relevant educational research, social work / education professionals and psychology ), to recognize risk situations and be able to give practical recommendations or action protocols based on the profile of the victims or offenders detected. On the other hand, the application contains a profile of schoolchildren that allows them to self-detect sexist behaviors and values ​​or detect them in their partners, to consider or reflect on the health of their relationships and allow them to detect the aforementioned manners and behaviors and train them to help to any friend in that situation. As a result, schoolchildren will be better trained and will have better skills to detect risky situations and act at the first signs of GBV.
