Termit

Termit is a terminal and SSH client with tabs and split panes, made for phones, tablets and Samsung DeX as much as for the desk. Fix a server from the train just as you would at your workstation.

TABS AND SPLIT PANES
• Open as many sessions as you need, each in its own tab
• Split any pane right or down, even into a different server, and drag to resize
• Every tab keeps running while you work in another

SAVED PASSWORDS AT THE PROMPT
When sudo asks for a password, Termit offers the host's saved one. It types only when you tap, never on its own.

THEMES AND FONTS
Terminal Dark and Light, One Dark Pro, Solarized, Monokai and Aubergine, with JetBrains Mono, Cascadia Mono, Fira Mono and IBM Plex Mono built in. Pick a scheme, font and size per host if you want.

SECURITY FIRST
• Hosts, keys, passwords and settings are encrypted on the device with AES-256-GCM, under a key held by the Android Keystore. Copied off the phone, the files are unreadable
• Lock Termit with your fingerprint or screen lock, so Android itself withholds the key until you pass, or with a Termit password stretched with Argon2id. Auto-lock after the time you choose
• A private key or saved password is decrypted only for the moment it is needed, then wiped
• Copied passwords are marked as sensitive and cleared from the clipboard after 30 seconds
• Unknown host keys are shown before you connect, and a server whose key has changed is refused unless you replace it yourself

NO CLOUD, NO ACCOUNT
There is no account to create and nothing to sign in to. Your hosts, keys and passwords stay on your device. Termit connects only to the servers you choose; error reports are optional, and you see each one before it is sent. To back up your setup or move it to a new phone, export a password-protected backup file that you keep.
