This app works extremely well, it's my go to. All you have to do is set your speaker/phone to the volume you usually listen to it at. Go through a couple frequency bands, adjust volume of those bands to be barely audible to you + similar volume to each frequency band, save it, check if enabled. Then play music/listen. For your specific listening tastes, you may want to very slightly boost bass, mid range, or treble and listen again(same song). When set correctly, flatter response, true clarity.

Update: no longer working Best concept ever for an equalizer IMHO. It isn't perfect, though. I notice if you adjust where you can barely hear each frequency then it won't sound right: I would boost bass too high and the mids and especially the treble would be lacking. You need to turn the bass lower and leave the mids and highs a little higher than where you first hear it. The app was making my phone's volume go up and down even when it was turned off. I deleted and reinstalled, so far so good.

Works with most apps. Not with YouTube, as far as I can tell. Detects my car's Bluetooth connection when I add a profile, but doesn't affect the sound. Once in a long while, it seems to stop affecting anything, but that might be because of any other equaliser app. Got premium, but auto-profile chooses…almost randomly. I tune for "softest I can hear" at each frequency", then raise all but one of them until the sample tones seem about the same loudness (aiming for perceptually flat response).

UPDATE: Either the latest app or OS update killed it. I get a "not supported on your device" error. ORIGINAL: Great concept but the interface needs work or maybe better documentation. I have the paid version which supports multiple device profiles. Profile creation is intuitive and works well. The app seems to detect which device is connected and switches to the correct profile. The problem is when I have *no* device connected (just the internal speaker) and the app remains active.

This is great because I'm hard of hearing. I literally use this app, every single day! However, if you could somehow add the option to edit the audio for singularly the left and right ears, it would actually help me out, immensely, as one ear is more hard of hearing than the other. Other than that, it's been a great asset to my life.

I had a Samsung with the Adapt Sound feature which was amazing and made things that were hard to hear much louder. It was tuned to my ears, essentially. This app brings that experience to any Android device and it works extremely well. Sure it has to be open for your audio to be tuned BUT it works and I'm very grateful for that. Easy to use too.

Love it. Just what I was looking for. As sort of stated in the description, this app will typically only work for music applications that do not talk directly to your hardware. However, even then you can use the graphical info it provides to recreate the results in those apps' in-built EQ. SUGGESTIONS: 1: That the app would test and adjust for each ear separately. 2: That the app would allow you to tell it which specific profile to use by default for each connection type. Thanks!!

Neutralizer is pretty much the best EQ app I've used. If you're able to tune the EQ right, you bring out the best out of your headphones. I use two Bose headphones, and despite how good sound they already are, Neutralizer is able to bring out more beats in the music. The problem? I have to literally put my volume to 75 percent with Neutralizer. It will kill your volume.

*** THIS IS A 6⭐APP***Does exactly what it says it will. And honestly it not only does it's job well, but it does a better job than some audio enhancement apps that I have paid $10 a month subscription fees for, just to be sorely disappointed down the road. Uses a clever approach to frequency isolation and adjustment, to give each user a near perfect listening experience. No better app of its type out there. DEFINITELY AM EXAMPLE TO BE FOLLOWED BY OTHER DEVELOPERS IN IT'S CLASS!!! GOOD JOB

I like my Pixel 4XL and bought some really nice Sony wireless buds. Liked the combo but felt like sound could be a little better. Installed the free version of this app and teste out. 10 minutes later, I upgraded to the Premium version. All I can say is WOW!!! With premium, I was able to set up separate profiles for my car and my BT portable speaker. Your developers are GOOD!
