User Reviews

This extension is a scam. It deceptively uses the official Eternl Wallet logo and developer name, clearly aiming to trick users into thinking it's the legitimate Eternl browser extension. Many users looking for a real Eternl Wallet add-on may install this without reading closely. Once installed, the app prompts you to create or recover a wallet, but instead of using the expected scripts (app.js), it quietly loads an iframe to a phishing site. That site requests your seed phrase, then scans your wallet for assets to steal your funds. TheVoice and I have installed, unpacked, and reverse-engineered the extension myself. The phishing behavior is provable and intentional. The core script (map.js) directly submits entered seed phrases to a phishing endpoint. I’ve submitted a full technical report to Mozilla, but so far, the response has been disappointing. This extension should be immediately removed from the store before more users are compromised.

SCAM, DO NOT DOWNLOAD !!! This is trying to pass for Eternl wallet to inexperienced user by replicating the same logo and name. Don't fall for it.

Is Eternl Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Eternl requires some sensitive permissions that could impact your browser and data security. Exercise caution before installing.

Risk likelihood measures the probability that a Firefox add-on may turn malicious. This is determined by the publisher and the Firefox add-on reputation on Firefox Add-ons Store, the amount of time the Firefox add-on has been around, and other signals about the Firefox add-on. Our algorithms are not perfect, and are subject to change as we discover new ways to detect malicious extensions. We recommend that you always exercise caution when installing a Firefox add-on.

Eternl may not be trust-worthy. Avoid installing if possible unless you really trust this publisher.
