Eclipse Total

Total Eclipse is an app to prepare for observing the solar eclipse of August 12, 2026, in Spain.

Check in seconds when the eclipse begins, reaches its maximum, and ends in your location. If you are near the path of totality, the app estimates the duration of the solar night so you can plan your viewing position.

The AR viewer uses the camera, compass, and phone tilt to pinpoint where the Sun will be at the beginning, maximum, and end of the eclipse. This allows you to check if buildings, mountains, or trees will block the view from your observation point.

On the day of the eclipse, the countdown can announce the final seconds with a voiceover, like a space launch.

Safety:

Never look at the Sun without ISO 12312-2 certified eclipse glasses or a suitable solar filter. The AR viewer helps plan your observation, but it is not a substitute for eye protection or an official astronomical source.

Location, camera, and sensor data are processed locally on your device. Total Eclipse requires no account, contains no ads, and does not send your data to its own servers.
