Eclipse Total

Total Eclipse is an app to prepare for observing the total solar eclipse of August 2, 2027, in Spain and Africa.

Check when the eclipse begins, reaches its maximum, and ends in your location, or search for a specific location without sharing your position. For Spain, official municipal contacts from the IGN/OAN are used; for other locations, a local astronomical calculation is performed.

The AR viewer has been redesigned to project the sky in perspective. It combines orientation sensors, true north, magnetic declination, and the camera's field of view to show where the Sun will be at the beginning, maximum, and end of the eclipse. This allows you to check if buildings, mountains, or trees will block the view.

On the day of the eclipse, the countdown can announce the final seconds aloud, like a space launch.

Safety:

Never look directly at the Sun without ISO 12312-2 certified eclipse glasses or a suitable solar filter. The AR viewer helps plan your observation, but it is not a substitute for proper eye protection or an official astronomical source.

Location, camera, and sensor data are processed locally on your device. Total Eclipse requires no account, contains no ads, and does not send your data to its own servers.
