Enhancer for Letterboxd

Enhancer for Letterboxd is a lightweight browser extension that adds optional tools, filters, ratings insights, discovery features, profile statistics, and interface customization directly to Letterboxd.

🔍 Search

• Search autocomplete: Shows instant film suggestions while typing in the search bar.

📊 Ratings

• Friends' histogram: Shows your friends' ratings on film pages.
• Cast & crew histogram: Shows your ratings for films associated with a person on cast & crew pages.
• Review search: Adds a search bar for finding reviews containing specific words.
• Hide built-in histograms: Optionally hides Letterboxd's film and profile rating histograms.

✍ Writing tools

• Formatting toolbar: Adds formatting buttons and a preview mode to reviews, comments, and list descriptions.
• Review tag autocomplete: Shows your most-used tags when the review tag field is empty.
• Review drafts: Automatically saves unfinished reviews and restores them when you open the same film again.

🏆 Awards

• Academy Awards (Oscars): Shows an icon on films that have won an Oscar.
• Golden Globe Awards: Shows an icon on films that have won a Golden Globe.
• Critics' Choice Awards: Shows an icon on films that have won a Critics' Choice Award.
• British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA): Shows an icon on films that have won a BAFTA.
• Cannes Film Festival: Shows an icon on films that have won a major award at Cannes.
• Actor Awards: Shows an icon on films that have won an Actor Award, formerly known as a SAG Award.

Clicking an award icon opens the list for the ceremony year in which the film won.

🎲 Discovery

• Random film picker: Adds a button to pick a random film on lists, watchlists, and cast & crew pages.
• Find twins: Finds members who share the same favorite films.
• Criterion Collection: Shows an icon on films included in the Criterion Collection, with the spine number and a link to the Criterion Collection film page.
• Release anniversaries: Shows a cake icon on films celebrating a release anniversary today.
• Unofficial related films: Shows unofficially related films when available, such as the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy.
• New releases: Adds optional homepage sections for new releases on streaming services and digital VOD.

👤 Profiles and network

• Recent likes: Shows the most recently liked films on profiles.
• Recent 5-stars: Shows the most recently logged films rated 5 stars.
• Recent year premieres: Shows the most recently logged films released this year.
• Viewing statistics: Shows average films watched per month, week, and day during the current year.
• Diary activity: Shows when a user started logging films and how many years they have been logging.
• Favorite members: Lets you mark members as favorites and highlights their reviews on film pages.
• “Follows you” label: Highlights members who follow you on network pages.

🔎 Filters and customization

• Additional filters: Country, Language, Theme, and Runtime.
• Runtime filtering is available on your watchlist.
• Hide shorts, TV, and documentaries: Adds a shortcut for quickly hiding these categories.
• Hide built-in filters: Optionally hides Letterboxd's native filter controls.
• Hide built-in sections: Lets you manage the visibility of Letterboxd sections on the homepage, film pages, profiles, lists, members, and cast & crew pages, including the biography section.
