Features & Capabilities

EmbedFallbackWatch audits legacy and plugin-style embedded content on the active page. It focuses on <object> and <embed> elements, which are less common than images, iframes, and video tags but can still appear in dashboards, document viewers, PDF previews, map widgets, and older enterprise pages. The extension checks whether embedded resources have a clear source, MIME type, dimensions, accessible label, and fallback content. This is useful because object/embed markup can silently degrade when the browser blocks a plugin, when a resource fails to load, or when a screen reader needs a text alternative.

Is EmbedFallbackWatch Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

EmbedFallbackWatch requires very minimum permissions.
