Email Tag Autofill Firefox

Email Tag Autofill

By: Max
Email Tag Autofill automatically generates unique tagged email addresses for every website you visit (youremail+AMAZON@gmail.com). All emails still reach your inbox, but now you know if your email is being distributed without your consent.

Features & Capabilities

Sarah signed up for an online fitness app using sarah+FITPRO@gmail.com. Three months later, she started receiving sketchy weight-loss spam emails - but they were all addressed to sarah+FITPRO@gmail.com. She immediately knew:

  1. FitPro leaked or sold her email - no other company had that specific address
  2. She could block it surgically - created a Gmail filter to auto-delete anything sent to that tag
  3. She reported the breach - contacted FitPro with proof they compromised her data
  4. Her main email stayed clean - the spam never touched her real address

Without email tagging, Sarah would have had no idea which of the 50+ services she uses leaked her email. She might have blamed the wrong company, or worse, assumed her email was "just out there" with no way to stop it.

This extension works with any email provider that supports "plus addressing" (also called subaddressing), including:

  • Gmail (user@gmail.com)
  • Google Workspace
  • Outlook / Hotmail
  • Yahoo Mail
  • iCloud Mail
  • ProtonMail

Get Started

  1. Install the extension
  2. Click the extension icon and open Settings
  3. Enter your base email address (e.g., yourname@gmail.com)
  4. Choose your tag format preference
  5. Visit any website and click on an email field.
