Add to gCal

Parses text and adds an event to a user's Google Calendar.

Add to gCal is a powerful Chrome extension designed to streamline your Google Calendar event creation. By simply highlighting event details in plain text—such as "call with the team tomorrow at 3pm on Zoom"—and clicking a button or using a convenient keyboard shortcut, you can quickly parse and add the event to any of your connected Google Calendars. Recognizing event names, dates, times, and locations, this tool is especially handy for emails or text where there is no built-in "Add to calendar" option.

The extension prioritizes user privacy and security, employing a serverless API without data storage or logging, ensuring your event and account information remain private. Setup involves authenticating the extension with your Google Calendar through the options menu. Add to gCal enhances productivity by eliminating manual event entry, making scheduling seamless and efficient.

Doesn't work

Edgeだと拡張機能のオプション画面で「Connect your Google Calendar」ボタンをクリックしても動作しなかった。

Add the extension, followed the setup instructions, and then went to some reservation details on a website that didn't have the handy "Add to calendar" hyperlink (literally the ONLY reason I added the extension)...the extension failed to recognize any of the information. Couldn't see a date, a location - nothing. Deleted and moved on...save yourself the time and skip it altogether.
