User Reviews

Overall, reviewers praise Latter-day Apostles for its easy-to-use interface, current information, and usefulness as a teaching and research tool. The app also offers comprehensive coverage of the First Presidency and the Twelve Apostles, with data presented visually by time period. However, several reviewers note data accuracy issues, particularly around birthplace details and dating of excommunications, and there are concerns about update cadence, with some changes not reflected promptly after leadership updates. Despite these drawbacks, many users view it as a well-maintained, valuable resource for exploring church history and biographical information.
Pros
  • Easy to use with a simple interface
  • Keeps information current with quick updates
  • Very useful for teaching, family learning, and historical research
  • Comprehensive coverage of the First Presidency, Twelve Apostles, and individual biographies
  • Visually presents the apostles by time period
Cons
  • Data accuracy issues reported across multiple reviews (birthplace details and excommunication dates)
  • Update cadence can be slow or delayed after changes (e.g., after Sep 2025), with some users waiting for updates

I love this app! As I get older and I'm reminiscing on where I've been, I appreciate being able to look back and refresh my memory regarding who was serving when. For example, as of today, 35 years after my mission call, only one Apostle then is still with us today.

2/26 - I just wanted to provide an update and say how much I still love the app! Thank you so much for publishing it and keeping it current. 4/16 - I really like the app. It is simple and easy to use. It does a great job of visually representing the apostles for each time period. I've used the app frequently to teach, with my family, and to just answer those random questions that come up from time to time. I hope you're able to keep it up. I'd pay to help.
