Smart Radio Monitor

"Smart Radio Monitor" is an Android app developed as part of a European Commission project to crowd-source mobile telephony and Wi-Fi data. It allows users to automatically record signal characteristics and test internet performance, gathering valuable information about connectivity and net neutrality. The collected data is local to the phone but can be submitted to a research database.
