Dawdle Block

Put time limits on unproductive sites.

Dawdle Block is a Chrome extension designed to help users limit time spent on distracting and unproductive websites. By setting daily time limits, active hours, and active days, users can control their browsing habits to boost productivity and reduce procrastination. The extension supports detailed customization by allowing the creation of up to 50 independent blocking rulesets, each with specific URL matching patterns, including whitelist and blacklist options. This lets users block entire domains yet allow exceptions, such as specific subreddit pages or YouTube channels.

Additional features include an "annoy mode" that gently discourages overuse without fully blocking sites, dark mode support, efficient save and synchronization mechanisms, and intuitive user interface improvements. Regular updates fix bugs, enhance usability, and expand functionality, making Dawdle Block a versatile tool for managing digital distractions effectively.

Hello, thank you for developing this. How do I go about blocking a specific category of YouTube videos? For example I'd like to leave Educational and Music videos up, but block Gaming and Entertainment.

High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Dawdle Block requires some sensitive permissions that could impact your browser and data security. Exercise caution before installing.
