What is TimeComments?

TimeComments is a Chrome extension that wakes up when you start watching a YouTube video and displays public comments with timestamps above the timeline. It also allows you to create private bookmarks (annotations) that refer to specific time points in the video. It solves the problem of finding the most important parts of a video and empowers users to help others in locating the 'good stuff' in videos.

When you start watching Youtube video, it loads one hundred most relevant comments. Among them finds ones with timestamps in them and for each makes a marker above the timeline near the time those timestamps refer to. Hover over the marker to see the actual comment. You can also see replies, if there are any, by clicking on the replies icon. . And that's about it. Simple as it gets. . How does it work?
