What is Save as MHTML (MIME HTML)?

'Save as MHTML (MIME HTML)' is a Chrome add-on, simplifying the process of saving webpage contents. Users can save any page, along with all its resources like images etc., in a single .mhtml file. The extension doesn't have adjustable settings or options; the process starts by clicking the toolbar button and selecting 'Save as MHTML' from the context menu. Bug reporting and feature requests can be made via the add-on's homepage.

Hey dev, you provided us an extension to download webpages as mht and mhtml but can you guide us on how to read these saved files? Since I cant find any software, IE was there but not anymore post discontinuation, so please guide. I have saved some webpages but cant read them. No extension mht and mhtml file reader or software on windows or chrome?
