User Reviews

The add-on is praised for effectively blocking distractions and helping focus, with features like scheduling, keyword/whitelist blocking, and the ability to lock the extension settings. Many users appreciate its lightweight, subscription-free, open-source nature, and cross-platform compatibility (Android). However, there are reliability concerns: several users report it doesn't block as expected or stops working; the blocking UX can be disruptive; scheduling options are too limited; and there are occasional bugs such as the menu not opening. Overall, strong when functioning, but reliability and configurability can be inconsistent.
Pros
  • Highly effective at blocking distractions and improving focus.
  • Feature-rich including schedules, keyword/blocking, and whitelist mode.
  • Locking the extensions page for security against tampering.
  • Lightweight, no subscription required, and open-source (FOSS), with no bloat.
  • Cross-platform (works on Firefox and Android) and responsive developer support.
Cons
  • Inconsistent blocking; some users report it doesn't block certain sites or stops working.
  • Blocking UX can be disruptive (blocked pages or new tab behavior).
  • Scheduling options are too limited (only two schedules, long unblock times) and lacking fine-grained control.
  • Occasional bugs or reliability issues (menu not opening / feature stops working).
  • Front-page results can still show when it should block certain searches.

Easy to use unlike that Cold Turkey extension made by a boomer with a stupid meme from 2010. Anyway. Really fast to setup, it even includes a random password button, so I saved it somewhere on my device in txt file. And I need at least a few seconds of search for it to unblock.

I never use most of the options this has. I mainly use this for 1 thing, blocking bad pages. Being able to just auto-close the bad pages, is a win in my book. Easy to set up, doesn't require any css/code know how. There might be better stuff out there, but this 1 was the easiest.
