Display inline

Does not work everywhere Change the Content-Type and Content-Disposition headers to force images and pdf documents to open in the browser window.

Features & Capabilities

Display Inline is a Chrome extension designed to enhance how images and PDF documents are handled in your browser. Unlike many other extensions, Display Inline modifies the Content-Type and Content-Disposition headers to force these files to open directly within the browser window rather than being downloaded. This improves user experience by allowing immediate access to files.

Additionally, Display Inline intelligently guesses the content type from the file name when servers use generic MIME types like application/octet-stream. It is a modern WebExtension compatible with browsers such as Firefox 56 and above. Although the extension does not work universally on all sites, it provides a convenient way to bypass forced downloads and streamline file viewing.
