Dishylink Firefox

Dishylink

Monitor your Starlink's performance and health. Live telemetry, speed test, obstruction map, alignment, alerts, per-device usage.

Features & Capabilities

Dishylink turns your browser into a full monitoring dashboard for your Starlink kit. It reads the dish and router directly over your local network, showing live telemetry the official mobile app surfaces — and none of it leaves your machine.

What you get:

  • Live status — throughput, latency, obstruction and hardware health.
  • Dish alignment — target rotation and tilt, with the exact nudge in degrees when the dish is off.
  • Speed test — download, upload and latency through the Starlink link.
  • Satellites and obstructions — the constellation overhead, and a time-lapse of what's blocking your view of the sky.
  • Data usage — every byte through the dish, split by download and upload, with per-device totals naming what's spending it.
  • Power usage — real-time draw plus historical energy totals.
  • Latency analytics — whether the lag is Starlink or your own router.
  • Alerts and event log — raised when the dish or router stops answering, overheats or hits weather, and cleared once it passes.
  • Controls — snow melt, sleep schedule, update window and reboots on supported firmware.
Privacy: no account, no backend, no analytics. Dishylink reads your hardware over your own network and keeps what it records in your browser. Nothing is collected by us. Starlink account figures, such as billing-cycle usage, use the starlink.com session already signed in to this browser.

Requires a Starlink kit on the same network as this browser.

The add-on records only while your browser is running, and the dish itself only remembers its last ~15 minutes, so any stretch with the browser closed shows as an honest gap rather than being filled in.

Dishylink is an unofficial, open-source project (MIT licensed). It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by SpaceX or Starlink.

Is Dishylink Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Dishylink requires a few sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.

Risk likelihood
Risk likelihood measures the probability that a Firefox add-on may turn malicious. This is determined by the publisher and the Firefox add-on reputation on Firefox Add-ons Store, the amount of time the Firefox add-on has been around, and other signals about the Firefox add-on. Our algorithms are not perfect, and are subject to change as we discover new ways to detect malicious extensions. We recommend that you always exercise caution when installing a Firefox add-on.

Dishylink is recently added, and hasn't been around long enough for us to gather enough data to accurately assess its risk level.
