User Reviews

Users generally find Pi Journal helpful for anxiety relief, appreciating its combined journaling and meditation features, user-friendly interface, and guided reflections. However, common issues include loss of access to premium purchases, app bugs causing nonfunctional meditation/reflection pages, problems with data syncing and loss, pricing concerns limiting full access for many, and missing features like export options and dark mode. Many express frustration with support responsiveness about account recovery and technical problems.
Pros
  • The app provides a combined journaling and meditation experience that users find calming and helpful for anxiety relief.
  • It includes thoughtful prompts and guided questions that encourage self-reflection and emotional tracking.
  • The simple and customizable interface with mood and activity emoji options makes it user-friendly and engaging.
  • Users appreciate features like reminders and the ability to upload photos to enrich entries.
  • The free version offers enough content for initial use, with premium lifetime options considered reasonably priced by some users.
Cons
  • Users report issues with account access, especially after changing devices, losing paid premium features without resolution from support.
  • Multiple users mention bugs where meditation and reflection features display blank pages or fail to function.
  • Some users feel the app is expensive and suggest that more features should be available in the free version; this causes frustration as many cannot afford the premium costs.
  • Data loss after upgrading or syncing with Google accounts has been reported, leading to loss of journal entries.
  • The app lacks important features such as dark mode, ability to export entries, and the notifications could be improved with louder alerts and vibration.

Update Edit 7/30/22 - I paid for the 4.99/ life promo Jan 2021. I got a new phone and now can't access my account. I have emailed, waiting for a reply.. don't want to have to start over and pay the increased rate. Update 9/30/22 no reply in email or threw their social media accounts. Guess I won't be using this app since i can no longer access the full access I paid for. I sent screenshots proving I paid for it. Deleted and added review to maybe get a reply here since couldn't elsewhere

Just joined lifetime premium for £25. It hasn't updated to Premium and it won't connect with my Gmail stating server is down. This app is supposed to decrease my anxiety. I now feel more stressed than ever. Sort it out.
