What is Theater Mode?

Theater Mode is an extension specially designed for Chrome users which significantly enhances your online viewing experience. When watching video content, the tool darkens the entire webpage, leaving only the video element visible. This provides a neat, spacious theater-like experience while watching a video. The extension features a whitelist for websites to be excluded from theater mode. Use theater mode for a dedicated and distraction-free video viewing session.

Theater Mode is an extension that helps you focus on the video when watching online content. It simply darkens the whole page except the video element and let you watch the video without any distractions.

Please note that theater mode is not designed for normal browsing. Only enable it if you want to watch a video, otherwise, the whole page will be dark. There is also a whitelist feature in case you want to permanently exclude a website from theater mode.

To work with this addon, simply open a website with video content(s). Start (play) the video and then click on the theater mode button in the toolbar. The whole page will be converted to dark but the video remains visible. Wonderful Extension! these type of extensions are very rare on internet. this should deserve more recognition, you can actually remove almost every kind of UI element on a web player with this extension. kudos to the dev for making this awesome thing

Very useful extension! I like to use it when watching videos for my online courses. Makes it a lot easier to focus on the video and not get distracted by everything else on the page.
