User reviews

Users appreciate WhenX for its ability to track and timestamp visited Google search links, significantly aiding memory and workflow. However, many express frustration over recent changes shifting its focus to LinkedIn profiles, and the introduction of a paid plan limiting free usage to just 10 searches daily. Compatibility issues and desires for support on other search engines and platforms are also noted. Despite these issues, the extension remains highly valued for its core functionality.

  • Users find it very useful and essential for managing numerous Google searches daily.
  • Effective and accurate in marking visited links and providing timestamps.
  • Positive user sentiment about its impact on workflow and search management.
Cons
  • Recent major change in functionality: shifted focus from general Google search results to LinkedIn profiles.
  • Introduction of a paid subscription model limiting free usage, causing dissatisfaction among users.
  • Limitation of free users to 10 Google searches with timestamps per day is considered too low.
  • Some features like Web Notes are not compatible with other browsers (Edge).
  • Requests for expansions to other search engines (DuckDuckGo, Bing) and platforms (Google Scholar).

Avgree with other reviews like @Benham Mo - its totally changed what it used to do which would simply tell you when you have visited each google search link. Now it is doing something completely different and focuses on LinkedIn. This is surreptitious and dishonest.
