Threshold uses the Android Accessibility Service API solely to enforce its core digital wellbeing restrictions:
- YouTube Shorts & Reels Blocker: Automatically detects navigation to distracting vertical video feeds (such as YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels) and overlays a local block screen.
- Focus Shade Lockout: Collapses the notification shade during active focus sessions to prevent bypassing focus restrictions.
The Accessibility Service API runs 100% locally. It does NOT read, collect, monitor, or transmit any typed text, screen content, passwords, or personal messages under any circumstances.

🔒 Fully Offline & Private:
Threshold does not request the INTERNET permission. It is technically impossible for the app to collect, track, or share your data. All analytics, app usage metrics, and settings are stored locally on your device's secure Room database.
