This test was designed by Redfining Progress, a non-governmental conservation organization (www.myfootprint.org). It calculates your "Ecological footprint", ie the area of ​​land needed to meet your needs, estimating the amount of resources needed to produce the goods and services you consume and absorb the waste you produce.
The purpose of the app is not to make people feel guilty, but to make them reflect on ways to preserve the environment by changing habits. The result indicates how many hectares of land are needed, in theory, to meet the individual consumption of those who respond to the test.
