Ninja Snap Android

Ninja Snap

Prank your friends who like to look at your photos uninvited.

Overview

Features & Capabilities

Ninja Snap is a playful Chrome extension designed to prank friends who sneakily browse your photo albums without permission. Select multiple photos from your device using an intuitive gallery-like interface, then hand over your device to your unsuspecting 'victim.' As they casually swipe through your photos, Ninja Snap discreetly captures stealth selfies of them invading your privacy and inserts these shots randomly among the chosen photos.

Key features include infinite gallery mode, continuously snapping pictures to catch repeated snoopers, and an option to exit the app stealthily so the prank remains undiscovered. The stealth photos are saved in a dedicated NinjaSnap folder, allowing you to review or share hilarious caught moments. Perfect for fun and harmless privacy protection, Ninja Snap adds a humorous twist to the all-too-common phone privacy invasion scenario.

User Reviews

Ninja Snap is appreciated for helping users protect their photo privacy by creating a decoy gallery and is praised for its developer responsiveness. However, multiple reviews report significant issues including app crashes, camera access errors, and the inconvenient requirement of selecting at least two photos. Compatibility problems on various Android versions and devices cause functionality problems, sometimes forcing users to restart their phones. The app's prank and privacy features are well-liked but hindered by technical instability and occasional unsettling app behavior.

Pros

  • Helps users keep their real photos private by creating a fake or temporary gallery to show others.
  • Good for drawing or selecting pictures for projects, useful for managing photo presentations.
  • Responsive developer who addresses issues and works with users.
  • Clever app idea appreciated by users looking for a privacy or prank tool.
  • Allows selecting multiple photos to build a fake gallery experience.

Cons

  • App crashes or causes phone camera to malfunction, sometimes requiring a phone restart to regain camera control.
  • Requires selecting at least two photos, which users find restrictive when wanting to show only one picture.
  • Does not always work properly on newer Android versions or certain phone models, causing errors accessing the camera or black screens.
  • Occasional bugs like black screens or app not exiting properly, leading to freezes or restarts.
  • Some users are uncomfortable with app behavior taking photos without consent, raising privacy concerns.

Good for drawing but it took about 12 pictures of me while I was on my phone, I got creeped out so I uninstalled it.

it doesn't work. i get a popup warning that it was created for an older version of Android and might not work... and then it doesn't. Im using a Samsung Galaxy A32 5G with Android 12. I select my pictures and when I hit the button to continue I just get a little pop up notification that tells me there was an issue accessing my camera and to please try again. I try again and get the same result.
