Features & Capabilities

Dev Toolkit collects the small utilities you keep reaching for into a single panel, so you stop installing six add-ons to get them.

Web font override — replace the font on any page, while leaving code blocks and icon fonts untouched. Adjustable base size and line height.

Text direction — force a page right-to-left or left-to-right, or restrict it to input fields only when you do not want to disturb the layout.

Tab masking — swap the title and icon of your tabs for a neutral placeholder before you share your screen, so a recording or a passer-by does not reveal what you are reading. One keyboard shortcut toggles it, and you can mask every tab or only the background ones.

JSON viewer — JSON responses become a collapsible tree with search and match highlighting, jq-style path copying, a raw view, key sorting and a download button. Large arrays are chunked so huge payloads stay responsive.

Garbled text repair — restores text that was stored as UTF-8 but read back with a single-byte encoding, the classic symptom of a mismatched database collation: علی becomes readable again. Display only; nothing is ever written back to your data.

Cache and cookie tools — clear one site's cookies, local storage, IndexedDB, cache storage and service workers, or clear the whole browser by time range. List, copy and export cookies as JSON, a Cookie-Editor file, a cookies.txt for curl, or a raw Cookie header.

Available in English and Persian, with a language switch inside the panel and automatic right-to-left layout.

No analytics, no telemetry, no network requests of any kind. Every setting stays on your device.

Is Dev Toolkit Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Dev Toolkit requires some sensitive permissions that could impact your browser and data security. Exercise caution before installing.

Risk likelihood
Risk likelihood measures the probability that a Firefox add-on may turn malicious. This is determined by the publisher and the Firefox add-on reputation on Firefox Add-ons Store, the amount of time the Firefox add-on has been around, and other signals about the Firefox add-on. Our algorithms are not perfect, and are subject to change as we discover new ways to detect malicious extensions. We recommend that you always exercise caution when installing a Firefox add-on.

Dev Toolkit is recently added, and hasn't been around long enough for us to gather enough data to accurately assess its risk level.
