PagePulse reads the spines, looks up every title, and gives you back one composite Shelfie: a portrait of the emotional palette of that shelf. Save it. Share the link. Use it to find people whose taste matches yours.

For any book you tap, PagePulse generates a chapter-level emotional map. Pulse score (intensity). Darkness (how much grief the book sits in). Hope (whether it pulls you out). Complexity (how dense the character work is). Plus a verdict card and a list of who's in it.

A note on what's powering this. PagePulse uses computer vision to read shelves, and language models to analyse books. All AI work runs on servers — none of it touches your phone's battery or your data plan unnecessarily. The book analyses themselves are based on the actual text (for public-domain works) or careful inference (for in-print ones). No emotional fingerprint is generated from your reviews or your reading speed — those would lie.
