TurboVPB was originally developed by a volunteer for the Sunrise Movement but any volunteers, organizations, or campaigns phone banking with these tools are very welcome to use it.

I love it. I agree with all the rave reviews. So easy to get started with the QR code. It keeps track of how many calls I made. I even enjoy the confetti every 10 calls. And I especially LOVE the text feature. If a voicemail box is not set up or full, bingo, off goes the text. We can prepare the text with our full message, including the candidate's website or other information we would normally have to spell out for the voter. Sometimes we get a call or text back! Rarely do they say STOP if you write a personalized text that sounds like a message from a real person. And we do not make misdials by hitting the wrong numbers on a phone keypad. I would ask for a couple more features. Can it be enhanced to work when there is more than one person in the household, especially so all people at the number can be marked as left message or not home, if that's the case? Can it be enhanced to handled alternate numbers if the phone bank gives you other numbers when the first one doesn't work? Without these two features, we have to mark the call using our computer. Also, I have a few volunteers who love technology. They make many more calls now that I showed them TurboVPB!

I have issues with my headset microphone using the computer to dial, so this extension has been a game changer for me. And when I found I could write my own text templates to use when the voter needs more information, double-wow. Thanks for a great tool!

This extension is the best thing since sliced bread! I have a volunteer phone banking group and TurboVPB allows us to use OpenVPB just as if we were using VPB Connect. And, it is free. The other way it is useful is for texting my volunteers to alert them to opportunities, meetings, etc. I just format an open vpb, connect via turboVPB and within ten minutes I can text 300 plus people. I use it not only to invite, but to confirm attendance, to remind before an event, and that sort of thing. It is, as I say, the best thing since sliced bread!
