The integrated GPS track viewer is ideal as an external GPS track and elevation profile viewer for various apps such as Wahoo Elemnt, Locus Map, GPS Logger, etc.
With the sharing function, imported tracks or FIT activities can be converted internally to GPX format and shared with other apps. Since the FIT file format is currently supported natively by relatively few Android apps, this conversion to GPX format can be very useful.
The integrated browser mode allows you to quickly browse the GPX/TCX/KML/FIT files stored on your device. This makes it easier to manage route and track data and share it with apps like Garmin Connect, Wahoo Element, and many others. It is recommended to save the GPS track files in a separate folder — for example, a subfolder of your Downloads folder — since Android 11, apps can no longer access the entire Downloads folder.

The app requires the following permissions:

Read and write permissions [WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE]
a) for optionally saving elevation profile data,
b) required to create an optional screenshot graphic if you want to use the share function, which simply sends a screenshot image file to another app,
c) for caching map tiles (OSMDroid Library),
d) for browser functionality,
e) for easily integrating offline Mapsforge maps.

Location data [ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION, ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION]
Required ONLY if you want to use the 'JumpTo' Home function in the map view, which simply centers the map on the last known location! This app does NOT (currently) include GPS logging (tracking) functionality!

Network permissions [INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE]
Required to download map tiles.

ATTENTION: When using the map view, DATA (map sections, so-called tiles) is DOWNLOADED from the internet. This can result in data charges if using a mobile data connection. A Wi-Fi connection or a mobile data plan is therefore strongly recommended!

The app also works on tablets, but is currently heavily optimized for smartphone use, as the user interface is primarily designed for portrait orientation.
