- Direct dialogue: Do you have a question? Swipe up on a profile and ask your questions directly to the candidates via the app. Completely without registration!
- Automatic electoral district search: Based on your address, the app automatically suggests your electoral district. You can manually adjust this at any time.
- Election explanations: Votikom explains the often complicated local electoral systems and the tasks of the various bodies (e.g., city council or local council).
- Important dates: Never miss an election again! The app shows you all election dates relevant to you.
- Verification: To prevent deepfakes, candidates verify themselves using their eID.


To ensure accurate and reliable information, Votikom relies on officially confirmed sources for the information provided. The published candidate data is based on the official lists of election proposals, which are publicly announced by the responsible electoral committees in the respective official gazettes. Specifically, the data for the city comes from Official Gazette No. 18 of July 24, 2026 (https://www.goettingen.de/portal/dokumenteplus-900001424-25480.html) and for the district from Official Gazette No. 34 of July 30, 2026 (https://www.landkreisgoettingen.de/Aktuelles/Amtliche-Bekanntmachungen/Amtsblatt/). Furthermore, explanations regarding electoral systems, election procedures, and dates are based on the Lower Saxony Municipal Constitution Act (NKomVG) (https://voris.wolterskluwer-online.de/browse/document/ef43f33c-e3d3-3ffd-99ad-c8b008cdee38) as well as the official announcements of the State Returning Officer (https://landeswahlleiter.niedersachsen.de/wahlen/kommunalwahlen/kommunalwahlen-in-niedersachsen-189522.html).
